Mechanical seals
We supply single-acting, double-acting and triple-acting mechanical seals. They are all designed for agitator applications for adaption of significant shaft displacement.
The following types of seals can be offered:
- Dry running single acting seals contact seals
- Dry running double acting gas lubricated seals
- Liquid-lubricated double acting seals.
- Liquid-lubricated triple acting seals.
Single-acting mechanical seals
Our assortment consists of 3 different single-acting mechanical seals. They are most suitable for biofuels and bio refineries, storage tanks, speciality chemicals and formulated consumer products.
Here is a description of the overall functions and applications of the 3 mechanical seals:
- Two seal rings with one interface
- Dry-running or lubricated mechanical seal
- Suitable for low pressure applications
- Vessel temperature range from -20 – 230 degrees Celsius
- Operating pressure range from vacuum-7 bar
- Shaft size range from 20-220 mm
- Sliding speed 0-5 m/s
Double-acting mechanical seals
Our assortment consists of 6 different double-acting mechanical seals. They are most suitable for bulk chemicals, polymers, pharmaceutical products and cosmetics, specialty chemicals, formulated consumer products, biofuels and bio refineries, hydrometallurgy and storage tanks.
Here is a description of the overall functions and applications of the 6 mechanical seals:
- Double acting mechanical seal liquid lubricated
- For applications in the low to medium pressure range
- Use of FEA ensures optimized stress distribution in every seal ring
- Suitable for frequent changes in pressure
- Sterile seal construction available
- Vessel temperature range from -50 – 400 degrees Celsius
- Operating pressure range from vacuum -100 bar
- Shaft size range from 40-300 mm
- Sliding speed 0-20 m/s
Triple-acting mechanical seal
We offer a triple-acting mechanical seal suitable for high pressure application and for extreme toxic and explosive products within the speciality chemicals and hydrometallurgy.
Here is a description of the main functions and applications of the mechanical seal:
- Liquid lubricated for extreme pressure applications
- Third pair of seal rings forms a second seal liquid chamber
- Function in emergency situations: if one pair of seal rings fails, the seal operates as a double-acting mechanical seal
- Vessel temperature range from -50 – 400 degrees Celsius
- Operating pressure vacuum - 200 bar
- Shaft size range from 40-220 mm
- Sliding speed 0-3 m/s
